Xylitol Gum – Other Flavors
Chewing gum can actually prevent tooth decay! Xylitol is a special kind of FDA approved sweetener that also actively kills the bacteria that cause tooth decay. To be most effective, we recommend chewing xylitol gum 3-5 times per day. If you have a TMJ disorder or jaw muscle pain with excessive chewing, it would be better to use xylitol mints instead to avoid aggravating your jaw joint (TMJ) and muscles. The Ice Breakers Ice Cubes Gum has one of the higher amounts of xylitol, though any xylitol gum will help. If you have dry mouth, xylitol gum can also be great for stimulation of saliva.
