Oral B GENIUS X LUXE Electric Toothbrush

This is the top-end version of the Oral B Electric Toothbrush.  In addition to everything the basic Oral B Toothbrush (see above) does, the Genius X Luxe brush can also track your brushing habits via bluetooth, comes in five pretty colors, and has a longer battery life. Although there are many good electric toothbrushes on the market, Dr. Wenzel does prefer the Oral B for the round brush head shape.  She feels the shape matches the shape of the gumline on teeth so it cleans off plaque better at those gumlines.  Electric toothbrushes work well for all people, and especially those who have issues with dexterity or arthritis in their hands.  Electric toothbrushes are easier to use than a manual toothbrush because you don’t have to use a brushing back-and-forth motion.  All you need to do is place the brush on each surface of your teeth for about 2 seconds and move onto the next surface.  Make sure you get the cheek-side surface, the top surface, and the tongue side surface of all teeth.  We like the soft brush heads and give them away at cleanings if you have an Oral B toothbrush.  We do not recommend the “flossing action” brush heads as the plastic bits on these heads can hurt gums and do not replace flossing.  If you don’t like the Oral B electric toothbrushes, Sonicare is a good alternative.
